RUNNING CAMP
IN KARAKOL, KYRGYZSTAN
Place of Champions' Power
Training near the mountain lake Issyk-Kul was one of the main secrets of the success of the great runners from the ex-USSR countries, including Olympic champions Valentina Egorova (marathon) and Yuri Borzakovsky (800 m), and the Kirghiz Satymkul Dzhumanazarov, the bronze Olympic medalist in the marathon, literally lived here.
A wide range of altitudes, from 1600 to 3500 m above sea level, infrastructure for training and recovery (stadium, saunas, and hot springs), as well as amazing nature – all this makes training here effective, inspiring, and guaranteeing a whole new level of performance in competitions.
